This year, the WAHS Jr. Players will be putting on the hit musical Newsies! The players consist of students between the sixth and ninth grades, and they have been hard at work practicing 2-3 times a week for more than two months. Newsies takes place in 1899, where newsboy Jack Kelly must fight against the unfair rules of his publisher, Joseph Pulitzer. To get a fair pay, Jack and his fellow newsboys must go on strike. The show will be opening on Thursday, November 21st, and it will run through the matinée on Sunday, November 24th. Students will have the chance to get a preview during the day on Friday, November 22nd. The WAHS Jr. Players have been hard at work, and they can’t wait to show you all the incredible effort that they have put into this production; make sure to come out and support them!
