Cafeteria’s Offer of Free Breakfast

Written by Sadie Zagwoski

In addition to our school’s existing offer of free lunches, the cafeteria is offering free breakfast! This enhances the convenience of eating breakfast in the morning, as many students do not have enough time at home or worry about funds in their account. To further the convenience, and save time, the cafeteria is launching the “Grab-and-Go” breakfast program. Breakfast items are now held at a kiosk in front of the auditorium every morning, and that is incredibly convenient for students who ride a bus, as the kiosk is near the doors they enter in the morning. The “Grab-and-Go” program ensures that every student has access to a fulfilling breakfast to start their busy day. As students at Wallenpaupack, we are very fortunate to have cafeteria employees who work hard to ensure each student holds an equal opportunity to receive a nutritious meal.

In addition to the meals being healthy, they also commonly peak student interest. The cafeteria offers a wide selection of meals every month. For example, some upcoming breakfastoptions include mini pancakes on February 16, bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel on February 22, and whole grain donuts on February 28. Some upcoming lunch options consist of chicken gumbo on February 13, grilled cheese on February 16, and beef or chicken ramen on February 21. To view the full breakfast and lunch menus, select the “Lunch Menus” option on the left-handside of the school website. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, you may reach out to our Director of Food Services, Mrs. Heather Fedoryk, by email at [email protected].
