District Orchestra

On February 7 through February 9, Wallenpaupack Area High School had five students attend district orchestra at Wyoming Valley West High School in Plymouth, PA. District orchestra is amusic festival held by the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA). It is an audition-based collection of string, woodwind, brass, and percussion instrumentalists performingchallenging collegiate level music. After qualifying and attending district band these students placed high enough to qualify for their respective orchestra positions. These five WAHS students recently participated in the PMEA District Orchestra competition at Wyoming Valley West High School in Plymouth. The participants were, from left to right, Nathan Freethy, Angelo Cresta, Jewel Dickerman, Olivia Tighe, and Hunter Sasala. A big congratulations to them!
