Leah Haney

Leah Haney is a senior at Wallenpaupack who’s a part of the Exercise Science and Sports Medicine CTE. She is committed to Slippery Rock University, and she plans to major in exercise science to become a physical therapist. She’s working at Pivot, a physical therapy clinic in Hawley, in a tech position, which she said has helped her decide to pursue physical therapy as her career. She’s known since freshman year, when she took the Introduction to Allied Health, that this is something that interested her. Now that she’s going to clinics with her CTE and working at Pivot, she’s even more sure that this is what she wants to do. She’s also in clubs, like National Honor Society, Student Ambassadors, SADD, track, and field hockey.

As a straight-A student, it isn’t the teachers or the classes that feels like the most important part of high school to her; it’s the environment. School wouldn’t be the same if it weren’t for the experience of school events, walking through the halls, being in clubs, waiting for the bell to ring with friends, etc. As impressive as her school life is, we all know that there is so much more to a person than just their academic achievements and their plans for college. She loves to read, ski, fish, hunt, and lots of other things. Leah is a well-rounded person who will go far in life, so remember to wish her luck in her future endeavors at Slippery Rock!!
