SADD

Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) is a club that advocates for smart decision making and promotes leadership within our students. During meetings, members plan events that take place during the school year and discuss ideas for the next mock crash. The purpose of SADD is to prepare students to make positive life choices.

I interviewed Miss Amon, who is in her second year of being the advisor of SADD, to learn about the club and their plans for this school year. Miss Amon’s favorite part of the club is how engaged the students become. She said, “Our mock crash last year was completely acted by students, including the rescue personnel.”

The members have a chance to promote a strong and important message to their classmates. This year, Miss Amon is most looking forward to the “Summer Send Off Message.” The message delivers the importance of safe driving and decision making. This will take place towards the end of May.

If you are interested in joining SADD, you can reach out to Miss Amon via Outlook, [email protected], visit her in the gymnasium office, or stop by room 312. SADD meets every Wednesday morning in room 312, and they sometimes have after-school meetings during the second semester.
