Mock Interview

On Thursday, April 25, a mock interview was held in the library of Wallenpaupack Area High School, where business professionals conducted practice interviews with students to help them prepare for real job interviews. The students dressed in business casual attire and took their resumes to present to the interviewers. This experience was designed to build students’ confidence and sharpen their interview skills.

One of the interviewers was Christopher Cykosky from Overboards Restaurant, who shared his thoughts on the importance of this event. He said, “I think this is a very important thing for high school students to get a little bit more familiar with and a little bit more comfortable with.”

It’s worth noting that this isn’t Mr. Cykosky’s first time participating in the mock interview event, reflecting the ongoing commitment of community members to supporting local students.

Among the students who benefited from the mock interview was Rachel VanLouvender, who attended to improve her interview skills. She learned about the event from Mrs. Monte, who announced it during Junior Seminar classes. Louis Gilson was another participant, seeking to develop his real-world skills through the experience.

The mock interview event demonstrates the commitment of the Wallenpaupack Area High School community to providing meaningful opportunities for students. It’s inspiring to see local professionals dedicating their time and expertise to help students succeed.
