On February 11, Wallenpaupack’s Bocce teams played their final meet of the season (before the league playoffs) against Mid Valley. Both teams played one game each and tried to protect their places in the standings and chances of advancing further into the season. Each team played their best and remained resilient throughout.
The White team played an extremely tight game as points went back and forth. The group started off with a minor lead, but Mid Valley’s team managed to tie them. After going into overtime, the White team ended up losing with a final score of 5-4. Despite the loss, the White team ranked third in the division with a final win to loss ratio of 4 to 3. This means, the White team officially secured their spot in the league meet, and they will advance further into the season.
The Purple team had another successful night, winning their final meet before leagues. The team not only won, but they did so by a landslide with a final score of 10-2. Due to their strong start and continuous efforts, Mid Valley was not able to catch up. With this final win, the Purple team ended up ranking fouth in the division. Just like the White team, the Purple team also ended up with a win to loss ratio of 4 to 3. Since they also made the top four, the Purple team finalized their position and will advance to leagues.
