On February 5, Wallenpaupack’s Bocce teams played Abington Heights for its 7sevenh meet of the season. Both teams played two games at Abington Heights, allowing an opportunity to make a major change in their overall rankings. Even though they suffered some setbacks, and troubling moments, the teams remained positive and resilient.

Despite their strong lead, the White team unfortunately had back-to-back losses. Their first match was a close game of 8 – 7, and their second was 9 – 2. Due to this, the team now has an overall score of 4 wins and 4 losses, and they’re ranked fourth in the division. Luckily, this means they’re currently still in a good position to advance to leagues since the top four teams go. However, the White Team intends on regaining their stronger lead in their upcoming meets.

The Purple Team had an extremely successful night, winning both games they played. Both their matches were pretty tight games with a score of 9-8 in the first, and 4-3 in the second. After this, the Purple team moved up a spot and is now ranked second in the division. This means the team’s chances of advancing further into the season are high as long as they keep up the work.
