Mark your calendars and lace up your sneakers—Wallenpaupack’s most vibrant event of the season is back! The annual Color Run, sponsored by The Arc of Wayne County and the Wallenpaupack Area School District, is set to take place on Friday, May 30th at the Wallenpaupack Area North Complex.
This colorful celebration is open to everyone—regardless of age or fitness level. Whether you’re a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or just looking to have fun and support a great cause, the Color Run is the perfect way to kick off summer with family and friends. The 1-mile course loops around the Jr. High soccer field, and participants are welcome to run or walk it as many times as they’d like. Some even go for the full 5K by completing three laps!
Packet pick-up and same-day registration will begin at 4:30 p.m., with the race officially kicking off at 5:30 p.m. If you haven’t registered yet, don’t worry—late registration is available for $40, although race kits are no longer guaranteed. All proceeds from the event go directly to support Dyberry Day Camp, a local program dedicated to providing enriching summer experiences for individuals with disabilities.
But the fun doesn’t stop at the finish line! Participants can enjoy a post-party race featuring free food, face painting, temporary tattoos, and live music by DJ Zip T. Whether you’re dashing through clouds of color or dancing with friends afterward, this is one event you won’t want to miss.
So grab your white T-shirt, bring your brightest energy, and come out to support a meaningful cause in the most colorful way possible!
