The Sanofi Biomedical Sciences conference kicked off its program last Friday, oSeptember 26th. Sponsored by Sanofi, the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine located in Scranton, PA hosts select students to participate in their biomedical science pathway experience. Wallenpaupack students grades 9-12 will be educated on the basics of biomedical medicine including genetics and biomechanic studies. The program runs one Friday every month until the end of the school year, and a new set of activities are planned for each visit. Along the course of the activities, participants will be given time to complete a final project to be presented in the last session. The Wallenpaupack students are thrilled to have an opportunity like this and look forward to the upcoming sessions.
