On September 20, 3 WASA students traveled to Wyoming Valley airport to take part in a Women in Aviation event. September 20 is a day that is widely recognized as Girls in Aviation Day. At this event, the 3 girls had the opportunity to help girls learn and get excited about aviation. Ages at this event ranged from young girls up to 8th graders. This is a great opportunity for these young girls to find a possible career path. The 3 WASA helpers were Reagan Anderson, Adrianna Fitzpatrick, and Irene Frangos. There are many volunteers that help this event succeed very year. The young girls got to go through fun activities such as building their own airport, flying a simulator, making bracelets, and more. This event took place from 10am-2pm. All the helpers had a fun day and were excited to help younger girls learn and get excited about all the possibilities they have as further career paths.
