The Buckhorn Cross Country team sweeps cluster race. On Wednesday, September 24, the Bucks traveled to Mountain View, a course that is not often ran to by the team. The group was dedicated and ready on the way there because this race was different than the classic race that they normally perform at. This was the one time of year where Wallenpaupack raced against their own cluster, Honesdale and Delaware Valley. This time, the runners had to face against five teams instead of the regular three, Mountain View, Susquehanna, Forest City, and our own cluster.

The team was excited to run and showed up with much needed energy. The team knew what they had to do, and they achieved the goals that were set. During the race, our top seven boys placed in the top ten, instantly winning against the other teams. Even though the girls were down a few runners, they showed up and put in the work. Many of the runners faced huge personal records and raced hard during the sunny evening. The boys and girl’s varsity team won against all the oppositions, now improving their score overall score of the season. The team has two races next week, with Tuesday, September 30, being at North Pocono, and Thursday, October 2, being at Leigh University. We wish them the best of luck!
