Ace Cromwell, a senior at Wallenpaupack, is a creative spirit with a calm, thoughtful presence. He spends his free time writing songs and making art. These two outlets allow him to express the parts of himself that words alone can’t capture. He also participates in Unified Bocce and is considering joining Unified Track and Field.

Among his activities, the bocce holds a special place in his heart. Ace loves its strategic nature and the feeling of focus and anticipation that rises every time he steps up to roll the ball. The sport has given him not only a sense of excitement, but a sense of belonging. His favorite memories from high school come from Unified as it provides spaces where he feels welcomed, supported, and free to be himself. The coaches and teammates around him have created an environment that makes him feel comfortable.

Looking ahead, Ace hopes to become a Reiki practitioner. His fascination with spiritual practices and his deep desire to help others inspired this path. While he’s still considering whether he’ll do an additional academic year or join the transitional program after graduation, he remains grounded in the present. Ace prefers to take life moment by moment, believing that setting long-term goals can sometimes lead to unnecessary pressure or procrastination.

Reflecting on his growth, Ace is proud of how far he’s come socially. Making friends wasn’t always easy, especially earlier in high school, but he feels he’s improved greatly and continues to build confidence.

In the end, Ace hopes to be remembered and viewed as respectful, kind-hearted, friendly, and someone who brought positivity into the lives of others.
