Last but not least, we will be recognizing our freshman officers this week in the Paupack Press.
Owen Jones is the class president. His journey with the student council began in fifth grade with his wanting to help his peers and make the school better. He is extremely passionate about the student council and prides himself on being a role model for students.
“I want to make the school a better learning environment than it already is. I want to leave a statement for when I step foot out of high school for the last time and reflect on myself and know I did things right. I believe in everyone in my class, and I cannot wait for Disney!”
Anthony Kiesendahl is the class vice president. He wanted to join the student council because of his love for Wallenpaupack and drive to make it as best as it could be.
“So far as a 2025 officer, I have had a great time doing what I carried out. This includes setting up the homecoming dance and pep rally. I look forward to continuing to help our school in any way I can, and making this school a better place
Austin Sasala is the class treasurer. His love for Wallenpaupack has inspired him to be a student council officer. He strives to make our school a better place for everybody and has been involved with making student life more fun and inclusive since his fifth-grade year.
“I’m excited to work with my peers to assist with fundraisers that support class events like Prom, Trunk or Treat, and other activities that will make high school a fun and memorable experience for our entire class. I believe that this is what will help to make school a positive and welcoming environment for everyone”
Anthony Mayer is the class secretary. Becoming a class officer has been a dream of his since his fifth-grade year. Unfortunately, he was never elected to be a representative, but that didn’t get him down. He tried every year without giving up and finally got it! Anthony loves Wallenpaupack, living here all his life, and wants to help his peers.
“I am excited to work with the older officers, they all seem like terrific role models. I have only been an officer for three months and it is so fun and all the people around me are so kind and welcoming. I am looking forward to helping with trunk or treat, prom, and many more events in the future.”
Mrs. Nalesnik is the co-advisor of the class of 2029. She believes it is imperative to help students enjoy school and that providing a strong connection to school creates a stronger community. She loves seeing students getting involved!
“I look forward to working with the class of 2029 and helping to bring their visions of how they want their years here and the legacy they leave to be. Every class is unique and getting to know the individuals in the class and how they work as a team is exciting to me. I can’t wait to travel with all of them to DISNEY!!!”
