Engineering is a special force. No matter what field you work in, engineers are always needed. Alexander “Alex” Rosenberg has accepted that since the start of his high school career. Alexander is known as a hard-working student who keeps pushing through to get the job done. Alex joined Wallenpaupack when he was in eighth grade and has been involved since.

He has been a part of track and field for three years, where he learned to keep pushing through mental blocks and get the job done, and basketball for three years. He learned that in basketball, perseverance and hard work is needed, “It’s hard not being the best on the team, and it takes a lot of mental strength,” Alex stated.

He is determined to try his best and keep putting in the work. He is also a part of the Leadership and Diversity club, along with being a school ambassador.

Alex joined the Engineering CTE his freshmen year, noting that it was the only intro class that he liked. “I really joined it because I did not know what to do,” Alex said.

Alex mentioned that when he was a child, he enjoyed coding and photoshop, which really helped shape his love for engineering. Currently, Alex is enlisted in the Navy, with the help of the engineering CTE, and is planning to go for nuclear engineering. After the Navy, Alex plans to go to college.

Alex has a lot of favorite memories throughout his high school career. One of his favorite memories must be the current basketball team, where he got to form a stronger bond with the team. Even throughout the rough season the team has been having, Alex still enjoys the moments he gets to build with the guys. Many of his favorite memories come from the friends he made over the past five years in the district.

One of Alex’s biggest thank yous goes to Mr. Heckman, who teaches engineering. Alex would like to thank all his coaches, and his parents. Wallenpaupack wishes Alexander the best of luck in the future, and we cannot wait to see how his future works out for him.
