With the ‘love’ in the air, Sarah Warner and Ava Paese hosted a Valentines Day dance for the special education program. The dance doubled as a way for the kids to have fun and as the girl’s FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) Event for the state leadership conference upcoming in March. FCCLA members were encouraged to help as did Mrs. Rosencrance’s class. Students came during the second block to decorate and stayed until fourth to clean up.
The dance was held in the auxiliary gym where food was catered through the cafeteria and Mr. Knisely attended as a DJ. It was a great success with seventy kids showing up to dance, eat, and to hang out with friends!
