As we move toward the final push of the school year, there seems to be a million things going on, so how do you manage it? You need to find your outlets to find calm in the storm. It sounds harder than it is, and I’m going to explain why.
AP tests, SAT, final exams, sports, club competitions, and so much more are going on in the final quarter of the year. It can make it feel like the world is coming down on top of you, but it’s not, and there are many ways to escape that feeling. First, you must realize that there is enough time to complete the things you want to do, but you are going to have to sacrifice things like screen time or staying up all night. Being present and getting sufficient rest are two integral points to complete if you want to get all your work done to the very best of your ability.
Another thing you can do to make everything seem like it’s under control is to replace some of your bad habits with better ones. Spending time with friends and family, exercising, and other new hobbies can help take your mind off the current stress it is under. Doing this allows you to be clear-minded when you get back to your work and hopefully less anxiety filled.
At the end of the day, the last quarter of the school year isn’t meant to break you; it’s meant to challenge you. While the workload may seem overwhelming, learning how to manage stress and balance responsibilities is an important skill that will help far beyond high school. By staying organized, getting enough rest, and making time for the people and activities that bring you peace, chaos becomes much more manageable. The storm may feel intense in the moment, but if you stay focused and take care of yourself, you’ll make it stronger than before.
