Run to Read 5k

By: Jewel Dickerman

The Hawley Public Library’s 14th annual Run to Read 5K took place on Saturday, September 21, in Bingham Park. Established by library board member Susie George, the race continues to raise money for the library while fostering a strong sense of community. This year, more than 70 walkers and runners, ranging in age from 5 to 85, participated. Tiffany Leventhal and Anthony Rennekamp claimed the titles of overall female and male winners. The event was a fun and successful way to support local literacy efforts. For a full list of sponsors, visit the Hawley Public Library’s webpage. https://www.hawleylibrary.org/#/
