Briana Blaszczyk, a senior at Wallenpaupack, is a dynamic force of involvement and leadership. Her extensive participation in school-related activities includes being a member of the WAHS Players, the Local History Club, National Honor Society, and the John’s Hopkins Gifted Program. She serves as the vice president of the class of 2025, a choir officer (and the alto section’s leader), the color guard chamber choir, show choir, and the 2024 PMEA district region choir. Briana is also a student ambassador, a reporter for Paupack Press, a news anchor for WAHS Morning News, and a member of the Leadership and Diversity group.
Among her numerous extracurriculars, Briana has found her true passion within the school’s theater programs. Recently, she played the lead role of Tess in “Blue Stockings” an experience she describes as incredibly enriching. This leading role is one of the highlights of her high school career, marking her years of dedication to her craft. Having long admired the older actors and continually perfecting her own performance techniques, Briana now feels as though she has become a role model herself.
In addition to her accomplishments in theater, Briana also fondly remembers being named fine arts student of the month and she proudly serves as vice president of her class. However, her favorite memories are those developed during her after-school programs where she cherishes the late-night rehearsals, the adrenaline of auditioning, and seeing her friends daily.
When it comes to her future, Briana plans to attend a four-year college in NYC to pursue her dream career in acting. She hopes to achieve creative fulfillment and success in her chosen field while also becoming an inspiration to other neurodivergent individuals like herself. She understands the challenges high school can present for neurodivergent students and uses her leadership-based roles in both the student council and Leadership and Diversity group to help encourage and inspire students like herself to engage in school activities. Overall, Briana views high school as a time of rapid personal growth and believes in the importance of creating an enjoyable learning environment for others. Through her relentless dedication and positive influence, Briana Blaszczyk hopes to leave a lasting impression of perseverance and inspiration.
