On Friday March 21, a group of aspiring aviation students from the Wallenpaupack Aeronautical Science and Aviation program (WASA) went to Teterboro Airport. This included Izabella Zieba, Josh Griffiths, George Harrison, Rylan Downey, Joe Pettinato, and Ben Cumberland. At Teterboro, (TEB) students took a tour of the FBO (Fixed Base Operator), a facility that provides services to private and corporate aircraft such as fuel and maintenance. They also toured the hangar where some private jets are parked. Holly Stash, vice president of operations overseeing all Teterboro, talked to them about future careers in FBO. After, they went to the Teterboro air traffic control tower where they toured the controls, which included radios and radars, and had a long conversation about what air traffic controllers (ATCs) do.
