On May 20, Sergeant First Class (SFC) Steven Guzzo and Staff Sergeant (SSG) Chris Conway visited the aviation room to view the class simulators. The Pennsylvania Air National Guard contacted the Wallenpaupack Aeronautical Science and Aviation (WASA) program to see the opportunities and resources available to students. Joe Pettinato, the lead simulator technician, and Josh Griffiths, the WASA president, gave instructions to SFC Guzzo in the simulator on how to fly the plane. This was another side to aviation for him since he is used to jumping out of the back of the plane, not flying it. By the end, the two sergeants wanted to work with their superior officers to create more networking opportunities with WASA.
