Through April and May, a select group of students traveled to Valley View High School to take part in an engineering conference. Many schools around the area sent a select few students who are interested in a career in engineering to attend this conference.
At this conference, students looked at problems and discussed solutions. They were able to design some of these solutions on poster boards. Students had the opportunity to meet other students from other schools and to bond while discussing ideas of solutions.
In attendance at the conference, there were engineers to assist each group with their ideas. These engineers talked about their careers, education, and their experiences. Students who attended this conference would learn about all the distinct types of engineers and what each of them does.
