Harrison Braida, a senior at Wallenpaupack Area High School, is a driven and well-rounded student who values both kindness and positivity. Throughout his time at Wallenpaupack, Harrison has actively participated in Unified Bocce, Unified Track and Field, and Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). Before transferring schools, he was also involved in Varsity Baseball, Bowling, Debate Team, and Chess Club.

Among all his activities, Unified Track and FBLA stand out as his favorites. He loves the excitement of competition, especially at states, which he’ll be attending this year on May 23. FBLA, on the other hand, has helped him develop valuable real-world business skills, and he finds fulfillment in the competitive nature of its events. He believes his greatest high school achievement was when he qualified for nationals in his FBLA event, Future Business Educator this year. To him, it serves as a testament to his hard work that he has done.

Though he has made the most of his time at Wallenpaupack, Harrison’s journey has not been without challenges. The hardest part of high school, he admits, was moving during high school. Having spent nearly a decade in one place, adjusting to an unfamiliar environment in the middle of his high school career was difficult, but he has learned to grow and accept change.

Looking ahead, Harrison plans to attend the University of Scranton, where he will pursue a five-year MBA program in finance and business analytics. His aspirations lie in the financial sector, specifically in real estate investment and venture capital. Which was passion that first sparked when he sold snacks at his old school for money. In the coming months, he hopes to earn his real estate license and eventually start acquiring investment properties, paving the way for his long-term goal of working in venture capital while owning multiple investment properties.

Above all, Harrison hopes to be remembered as someone who worked hard, treated others with kindness and respect, and had ambition backed by action. As he prepares to graduate, he intends to make the most of his remaining time at Wallenpaupack, embracing each moment before moving on to success.
