Girls’ soccer players high-fiving youth players

Every year, the boys’ and girls’ high school’s soccer teams host WYSL (Wallenpaupack Youth Soccer League) athletes ranging from ages 4u through 12u. At this event, all players are invited to go onto the field where they get to give high fives to all players on the opposing team as well as Wallenpaupack soccer players. They are then encouraged to stay and watch the varsity games. To add a little bit of fun to the night, at halftime, there is a penalty kick contest for the youth players. When choosing which players come down to shoot, they draw raffle tickets randomly and the lucky winners are allowed to come down and compete. This is a great community event that will encourage youth players as they go throughout their soccer careers.
