This week has been packed with games for the girls. Starting on Tuesday, the girls had their Youth Night and played a tough, hard-fought game against Valley View. Our girls fought till the end and were able to keep Valley View’s offense to 3 goals. Valley View struck first with a goal early, but our girls responded quickly with a goal by Carmella Coyle. The second goal Valley View goal was scored on a penalty kick after a trip in the goalie box. The final score was 3-1 in favor of Valley View.
Next the girls had their Senior Night. This year’s seniors, and the 3 captains, are Sarah Decker, Alexa Laing, and Macy Story. They faced Delaware Valley and were unable to come out on top. This was a hard-fought game that was contested till the last minute. Delaware Valley won by a score of 1-0. This was a huge improvement compared to their previous game when the girls lost 5-1. Next, they played another game on the turf, against Elk Lake. This was a successful game with the girls dominating Elk Lake by a score of 7-1.
