Wallenpaupack Area High School celebrated its annual Homecoming festivities last Friday highlighting a night filled with school spirit, Buckhorn pride, and memorable moments under the Friday night lights.
The Homecoming Court featured eight Wallenpaupack High School students who were recognized for their leadership, character, and involvement within the community. This year’s court included: Diego Adames, Lucy Babyak, Mayah Boogertman, Bethany Day, Nathan Freethie, Evan Huber, Genevieve Newman, AnnaLee Protasiewicz, Hunter Sasala, and Ivy Yetter
After an exciting week of themed spirit days from the student council to build some schoolwide anticipation, Evan Huber and Lucy Babyak were crowned the 2025 Homecoming King and Queen at halftime. Following this announcement, the winners were driven down the 100-meter line of the track surrounding the football field, waving to cheering students, families, and friends in their decorated golf cart “chariot.”
The ceremony served as a highlight of the evening’s football game, honoring not only the winners but all members of the Homecoming Court for their contributions to school spirit and the student body. The celebration captured what makes Wallenpaupack special: school spirit and Buckhorn pride
