Five members of the Paupack Press traveled to Wilkes University for Media Day. On Friday, October 24. The students took the opportunity to be a part of Wilkes University’s Media Day. During the event, our students learned about the communication major that the school taught and showed them how to run a college newspaper. The group was taught radio skills, how to run a website more professionally, and how the television news runs at the university. “I really like how it was very involving,” Reagan Anderson spoke after the event, “We got to participate in their newspaper. I thought it was a great learning experience.” The group was incredibly grateful for the opportunity to meet other schools, who also have a newspaper, and to gain more exposure to the news world.
