Our aviation program at Wallenpaupack is one of a kind and produces many accomplished students. Our aviation spotlight student of the month is Adrianna Fitzpatrick. Adrianna is a sophomore at Wallenpaupack Area High School, an honors student, and a respected representative of the aviation community. She currently takes flight lessons, has flown at two separate Young Eagle events, and volunteers her time at events such as the Young Eagle car show and Women in Aviation Day event. She quotes, “My favorite thing about the program is how hands-on it is. We don’t just learn about planes- we actually get to understand how everything works, from flight planning to actually experiencing flying in the stimulator and most recently in real aircraft. It makes me feel like I’m really working toward something I love, not just studying it.” Adrianna is also an Experimental Aircraft Association member and is working toward becoming a member of multiple other associations. She is an overall well-rounded student who takes her schooling seriously and is working toward big dreams!
