Wallenpaupack Area High School freshman Emma Ey has earned an incredible honor—being selected to join the 2026 U.S. U-16 Women’s National Field Hockey Team. Her achievement places her among the top young athletes in the nation and highlights her dedication, skill, and passion for the sport.

Emma’s journey with Team USA continues this February, when she travels to Charlotte, North Carolina, for additional training and evaluations. From there, the team will determine who will represent the United States in upcoming international competitions to be held in either the Netherlands or England.

Balancing academics with the demands of elite-level athletics is no easy task, but Emma’s commitment to both her education and her sport sets a powerful example for student-athletes across Wallenpaupack.

The Paupack Press congratulates Emma on this remarkable accomplishment and wishes her the best of luck as she continues to represent her school and country on the field. Her success is a proud moment for the entire Wallenpaupack community.
