Adria Malinchak

By Hannah Daidone

Adria Malinchak is an incredible senior who has spent her four years endorsing herself academically while staying heavily involved in her school community. Her favorite subjects include AP Calculus, AP Biology, and Allied Health CTE, courses that both challenge her and show her passion for science and healthcare. Adria has consistently demonstrated leadership and dedication through her involvement in Student Ambassadors, National Honor Society, and the NHS Executive Council, all of which she has been part of for four years.

Throughout high school, Adria has been involved in healthcare-focused programs and extracurriculars. She has participated in the Allied Health CTE program for three years, completing several clinical rotations. Her favorites including the Maternity and Orthopedics rotations. She is a member of the Sanofi Biomedical Program at the Geisinger School of Medicine, where she completed presentations on Colon Cancer, CRISPR gene editing, and Cystic Fibrosis. Some of her favorite memories from biomedical include hands-on dissections—and, of course, stopping for Chick-fil-A on the way back to school. Adria also served as the treasurer of HOSA last year and is proud to step into the role of president for the 2025–2026 school year. She has attended the State Leadership Conference three times, participating as a delegate, competing in Medical Terminology, and preparing to compete in Phlebotomy this spring.

Outside of academics, Adria has been involved in countless other activities. She swam competitively during her freshman and sophomore years, competing in the 100 butterfly. She is also a member of Volunteers in Paupack for three years, helping with Thanksgiving and Christmas box wrapping and toy drives. Some of her favorite high school memories include the senior trip to Disney—especially riding Guardians of the Galaxy at night and braving Tiana’s Bayou in freezing weather—as well as the past three years spent in Allied Health.

After graduation, Adria plans to attend Saint Joseph’s University, where she will pursue an accelerated four-year track in Health Science for Physician Assistant studies. Her long-term goal is to become a Labor and Delivery Physician Assistant, emphasizing her love for healthcare with her interest in helping others during meaningful moments in their lives. In her free time, Adria enjoys swimming, spending time with friends, walking her two dogs, shopping, listening to Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac, and trying new hairstyles—always finding a balance between hard work and making memories. We wish Adria the best of luck after she graduates!
