The Wallenpaupack and Scranton Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) clubs joined together for a teddy bear toss recently at the boys’ basketball game at Scranton High School. Last Thursday, the Wallenpaupack SADD club joined the Scranton SADD club to help support the Women’s Resource Center by buying 144 teddy bears to be distributed to children at the Center. During the game, students were permitted to throw teddy bears onto the court after a designated made basket by the Scranton Knights. The good news at the end of the game; not only did the Wallenpaupack boys’ basketball team win by a score of 60 to 51, but the SADD Club donated $232 directly to the resource center! Wallenpaupack would like to thank everyone who attended the game to help support the cause.
