Unified Bocce Against Mid Valley and Valley View

On February 3rd, Wallenpaupack’s bocce teams traveled to face Mid Valley in one of their final meets before leagues. The purple team took control early in their match and secured a dominant 12-3 victory. At the same time, the white team also delivered a strong performance, defeating Mid Valley with a score of 7-2. Both teams walked away confident after sweeping the meet and building momentum heading into their final competition of the regular season.

Two days later, on February 5th, Wallenpaupack faced Valley View’s teams in their last meet before the league tournament. The purple team’s first match against Valley View’s first team was a tight one. In a back-and-forth game that came down to the final frames, Wallenpaupack pulled off a narrow 7-6 win. Meanwhile, the white team tried hard in their first game but fell just short, losing 5-3 to Valley View’s second team.

The purple team continued their success in their next game against Valley View’s second team, carrying out another close win with a final score of 5-4. The white team once again found themselves in a tight round, but despite their effort, they lost 4-3. Although the white team came up short in both matches that day, they remained competitive until the very end.

With the regular season complete, the purple team finished first in the division with an impressive record of 8 wins and 2 losses. The white team concluded their season 6-4, placing third in the division. Several teams were tied for third place, and after the tiebreaker calculation, the white team tragically missed qualifying for leagues by just one-tenth of a point.

Now, the purple team looks ahead to the league tournament at North Pocono on the 17th. The top two teams there will move on to regionals, and from the top team from there will advance to states.
