Last week, students from Mr. Neenan’s physics classes attended the Hayes Physics Competition at the University of Scranton. Participants of the competition take an individual quiz and then come together with their team to compete in four physics and engineering events. This year’s participants were Ashley DeJesus, Colby Bonagura, Nathan Freethy, Joe Petinatto, Chris Tufaro, and Jude Mautz. Many of these students attended the event last year as well. Our school placed 3rd overall with 2nd place in the “What’s with that Fork?” event and 5th in the “Levitation” event. Wallenpaupack has attended this competition for the past ten years and is excited to attend for many more.
