As the season winds down, the Wallenpaupack girls’ lacrosse team continues to up their game. After their rough loss to Abington Heights last week, the girls rebounded with a good overall game last Thursday, losing to North Pocono 14-2 with goals from Ava Hoffman and Grace Wisner. The girls then played their closest game of the year, which ended in a single digit loss to Pittston with a final score of 14-5. Sophie Fontano scored two goals, with one goal each added from Ava Hoffman, Kaylee Newcomer, and Ivy Frangos. The girls have five games left to finish their season, with four out of five being at home. They play at home today against Delaware Valley, tomorrow against Tunkhannock, next Tuesday against Pleasant Valley, and next Saturday against Holy Redeemer, and they will travel to Dallas next Wednesday.
