Nick VanBuskirk is someone who you have probably seen with his towering above the crowded hallways. Over the past four years Nick has participated on the boys’ basketball team where he has been in a pivotal starting role for the past two years. This past year he earned team MVP and was honored with a spot on the defensive all-league team. Nick has also been a part of the Track and Field team for the past three years, and the one and only event he has competed in has been the high jump. Last year Nick was crowned district champion earning a trip down to the State Championship meet. One of Nick’s favorite memories in High School is hanging out and making plans with his friends in the parking lot.
As Nick graduates next month, he plans to join the military in the Air Force branch. In the Air Force he intends to work for air transportation also known as loadmaster. He will have an eight-year contract, four years active and four reserved. After his service Nick plans to open a business, of which he has not yet decided. We wish Nick the best of luck as he steps into this next phase of life, and can’t wait to see what great things he does next.
