Girls’ soccer team picture above

As we roll into the new school year, fall sports continue with Wallenpaupack soccer. Girls’ soccer started its season strong with a win at their first scrimmage against East Stroudsburg North on August 25 by a score of 9-0. Next, they traveled to Delaware Valley and took a loss of 1-0 on September 1. The following week, they had three consecutive games which proved to be tough as they suffered a loss to Honesdale 2-1 on September 9, lost to Pittston 2-0 on September 10, and tied Mountain View on September 11, 1-1. After a weekend break, on Monday, September 14 the team traveled to Dunmore to take on the Lady Bucks and earned their first win by a score of 1-0. On Friday, September 18, the girls took on tough competitors in Mid Valley and came up short by a score of 2-0. Next, on September 21, the girls took on last year’s division champs, Western Wayne and tied by a score of 1-1. And most recently they played Old Forge at home on Wednesday, September 23 and dominated, taking the win by a score of 7-0.
The boys’ soccer team started their season with a win against Wilkes-Barre Area by a score of 4-1 on September 2. Next, they hosted their annual Varsity Tournament on September 4 and went 2-0 winning against Honesdale by a score of 3-0 and Hamburg by a score of 2-0. On September 8, they took on Scranton High School and won by a score of 3-1. Next, on September 10, they traveled to North Pocono and tied the Trojans 1-1. Next, on September 14, they were on the road again, this time to take on Abington Heights, and they experienced their first loss of the season by a score of 4-1. On September 17, the boys played Valley View at home and dominated by a score of 6-0. And on Tuesday, September 22, they boys challenged Scranton Prep and took the win by a score of 3-0.
