Following the passing of beloved singer, actress, and icon Dolly Parton, various governors and state officials designated September 25, (9/25, a nod to her iconic song and movie 9 to 5) as Dolly Parton Day. Our school celebrated this day by encouraging all students to wear pink and donate one dollar to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, a foundation that gifts free books to participating children until they can attend school. In total, our school raised [$$$] for the Imagination Library, adding to the more than $4.5 million donated since her passing.
