On Monday, October 5, the Wallenpaupack Girls Tennis team participated in the AA district semi-finals at Kirby Park. Their first match was against Wyoming Seminary, an undefeated team (15-0). The first matches to finish were first and third singles, which both lost; setting the overall team score behind 2-0. Thankfully, second singles (played by Adelyn Ezzo) won by a score of 6-0,6-1, putting Wallenpaupack a bit closer in the score. Unfortunately, second doubles lost, securing the overall win for Wyoming Seminary. Congratulations to the 2026-2027 Wallenpaupack Girls tennis team for making it to the semi-finals and finishing their season with an overall record of 12-6.
On Thursday, October 8, two players from the Wallenpaupack Girls Tennis Team took part in the AA singles district tournament. Olivia Kogan and Adelyn Ezzo both played their first matches at 9 am at Kirby Park. Adelyn’s first match was against a player from Mid Valley and Addy by a score of 6-0 6-0. Olivia’s first match was against a player from Holy Cross, where she won by an overall score of 4-6 6-3 and winning the third set tiebreaker 10-4. Adelyn and Olivia then moved on to their next rounds, both playing against seeded players from Montrose. Unfortunately, they both lost 0-6 against their respective opponents.
