On October 15, Wallenpaupack hosted the 2026 FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) Eastern Regional Leadership meeting in the school’s library. This marked the second consecutive year Wallenpaupack has hosted the event, with both meetings being a success! Along with Wallenpaupack members, students from Delaware Valley School District and Reading Muhlenberg CTC attended the meeting.
The event gave members the opportunity to learn about the upcoming state events such as the State Leadership Conference and explore STAR Events (Students Taking Action for Recognition). By learning more about different competitions, members could begin deciding on what events they want to compete in. Workshops were also held throughout the meeting, covering topics on traffic safety and ways members can earn recognition in FCCLA.
In addition to learning upcoming opportunities, the meeting allowed students throughout different chapters to network and make FCCLA more inclusive. Wallenpaupack’s FCCLA Regional Officers, Anthony Mayer and Vivian Yetter as well as State Officer, Maya Walek, helped lead the event with officers from other districts.
