On Thursday, October 15, eight WASA (Wallenpaupack Aeronautical Science and Aviation) students took a trip to Teterboro Airport to learn about the private world of aviation. Here, they met with the Client Aviation Manager and G550 Pilot and Maintenance Supervisor at Solaris Aviation, Dennis O’Connell. They were able to take time and ask Dennis some of the questions they had regarding the private side of aviation. This was a great learning experience for students as gaining new information about career choices can broaden their horizons and make more opportunities available for them as they move forward with their careers. While they were here, they were able to tour the inside of a G550, a private business jet used by many upper-class people and in some cases celebrities.
