On Friday, February 2, the school decided to be pretty and wear pink! February is known as “National Cancer Prevention Month”, so the girls basketball team decided to continue its annual fundraiser and raise money for breast cancer. The team had teamed up with the student council, who were selling t-shirts, and with the PIAA District Two Initiative, Coaches vs. Cancer, while the girls had made basket raffles to help raise money. The girls raised about $200! The girls’ basketball team has been having a wonderful season, winning twelve games in total! The team will be heading to playoffs on the week of February 21. We hope for the girls to continue having an amazing season and we wish them the best of luck.
