Starting for Wallenpaupack was Eli Peifer; in his first inning of work, Peifer struck out one while surrendering two runs. In the bottom half of the first, Paupack managed to get one run back. During a shaky first inning, Peifer shut down Wyoming Valley West’s offense for the next four innings.

In Nilsen’s two innings of work, he struck out two, walked three, and no runs allowed. In the bottom half of the seventh with one out, Gannon Decker stole third and scored on an error to win the game for Wallenpaupack. With final score of 3-2, Wallenpaupack took home their second win of the season.
