Wallenpaupack Area School District’s Homecoming Spirit Week, held from October 30 to October 4, was a showcase of school pride and excitement. Each day brought something new, starting with “Country vs. Country Club” on Monday, where students embraced western or preppy fashion. Tuesday’s theme, “Dress as Your Favorite Movie Character,” brought creative costumes to the halls, while Wednesday’s “Color Wars” had students decked out in their grade-specific colors. Thursday’s “Jersey Day” displayed love for favorite sports teams, and Friday’s “Purple and White” Day capped off the week, building anticipation for the Homecoming games.

The outdoor pep rally on the high school football field was the pinnacle of the week, with Wallenpaupack Area High School, North Primary, North Intermediate, South Elementary, and the Middle School—filling the bleachers. The Wallenpaupack Area High School marching band kicked things off, performing a medley of songs including “Prologue/Little Shop of Horrors,” “Fantasmic Part 2,” “Aladdin,” and “Go the Distance.” Their crisp formations and powerful sounds drew cheers from the crowd and set the stage for the rest of the rally.

After the band, the high school sports teams took center stage, each keeping the audience engaged with creative skits. The boys’ and girls’ soccer teams had the crowd laughing with clever routines, while field hockey and cross country kept the energy high with their energetic and lively performances. The tennis team brought their own fun, and the football team closed the rally with a skit that pumped up the crowd for the upcoming game. Each team held the audience’s attention from start to finish, combining humor and team spirit to create a rally that highlighted both the school’s athletic and creative talents.
