The cross-country team has five races left until the District Two meet. On Wednesday, September 17, the Wallenpaupack Cross Country team traveled to the Honesdale Hornets course to race against the opposing cluster holding Montrose, Elk Lake, and Blue Ridge. The team was in a shock to hear that the Hornets changed the two-year-old course, created due to the construction on the bridge, back into the old- fashion original format, a course that was created back in the 1980’s. The school reintroduced “Death Valley,” a long steady hill that some runners find threatening. The Bucks knew the challenge they were facing but were ready to race on one of the toughest courses in the league. The Bucks raced hard during the sunny day. The varsity boys won against the three opposing teams, with the girls winning against Montrose and Blue Ridge.
