Savvy May, our therapy dog, visits the high school every few weeks to bring smiles, calm, and connection to our school community. Whether she’s greeting students in the hallway, visiting classrooms, or relaxing in the counseling office, her gentle presence provides a supportive and emotional role for students and staff. Savvy helps students feel comfortable, supported, and seen-while encouraging kindness, social interaction, and reducing stress.
Beyond that, Savvy provides a “feel-good” effect that enhances the school’s emotional environment and overall school morale. Savvy brings our Wallenpaupack family (students, teachers, and staff) together – one way at a time 💜🐾
