Student of the Week: Chase Predmore

By: Bethany Day

It is an amazing opportunity to be able to fly in the skies at Wallenpaupack. Chase Predmore, a junior at Wallenpaupack Area High School, saw that opening on day one. Predmore joined the Aviation program during his freshman year of high school and has learned new facts about the topic over the years, along with discovering how to achieve his goals from the special program. “It was a very rare opportunity to learn about the aviation industry in high school,” he stated.

Chase has many favorite projects over the past three years; however, the flight simulator is one of his most memorable. Beside the flight simulator, he also remembers being involved with the building of the Aviation’s Boeing 737 simulator. Chase was also given the opportunity to help take part in the fundraising for the school’s program. He got to work at the Cherry Ridge Airport fundraiser and has helped with the CTE open house on multiple occasions.

After high school, Chase plans to go to the United States Air Force to study Air Traffic Control. Chase has also been looking into more colleges, with his top choice being Liberty University, because they offer a great JROTC program for students.

“Take advantage of the opportunities that you are given.” Chase said when asked what he would tell incoming first-year students or students looking into Aviation. We wish Chase the best of luck with the rest of the school year and hope he gets to fly.
