Paupack Takes a Tough Loss Against North Pocono

On Friday, May 1, the Varsity team traveled to Delaware Valley to take on the Warriors. They were able to dominate again by a score of 10-0. This game, Anna Babyak showed complete control in the circle, only giving up one hit. On offense, three homeruns were launched by Sarah Decker, Grace Lake, and Lily Mancino.

On May 5, the varsity team struggled to keep up with North Pocono, taking the loss by a score of 11-2. This game was set to be a big matchup for the team, and while Paupack held strong for 5 innings, North Pocono’s strong offense was the winning factor for them. Anna Babyak again dominated the circle for the team. Madison Haynes and Hannah Daidone were standouts on offense for the team and providing great opportunities for runs to be scored.

This past week, JV has been unstoppable, winning against both Delaware Valley and North Pocono. Delaware Valley was a high scoring game for the Buckhorns as they were able to score 16 runs and hold DV’s offense to zero runs. North Pocono was a hard-fought game that led to Paupack winning by a score 2-1 after a come from behind win, with a rally being started by Grace Sterner. Grace Sterner not only produced with her bat, but in her pitching. She handled both DV and North Pocono’s offense with ease.
