Sara Kovacs is a senior at Wallenpaupack, part of the class of 2026. She is a passionate, diligent, and an overall exceptional student.
Sara is involved in a magnitude of clubs and extracurriculars such as Wind Ensemble, Chamber Choir, Jazz Band, Pit Band, WAHS Players, part of the National Honors Society’s Executive Council, Central Treasurer, Volunteers in Paupack, Northeast Youth, and Student Ambassadors. Additionally Sara has won numerous awards during her time in high school such as the Horatio Alger State Scholar, Gates Scholar, the High Honors Gold Award three times, District and Regional Band, District and Regional Choir, District Orchestra, College Board National Recognition Program- Small Town and Rural Area Award, College Board National Recognition Program- First Generation Award.
Outside of school, Sara is a manager at the Yulan Country Store, and has her own small business called Sara’s Cheesecakes, selling desserts. Her favorite memories throughout high school include her Choir trips to France and Italy.
Sara is planning on going to Georgetown University to major in International Relations. She intends to work for the government, possibly as a diplomat.
