This July the Ronald McDonald House received 12 copy paper boxes of aluminum soda tabs, which were kindly donated by our National Honor Society. The donation tremendously helped both the House and families in need, aiding in raising money to support families with sick children. The saved aluminum tabs are taken to a recycling center and sold for the going market rate of aluminum and money earned goes straight into accommodating families to an overnight suite, staying close to their hospitalized child at no cost. They also provide help with transportation, gas cards, and family rooms to rest or grab a snack. The Ronald McDonald House provides a “Home Away from Home” to families in a medical crisis, removing financial barriers and aiding in a sense of normalcy during emergencies. The House was extremely grateful to the National Honor Society, who hopes to collect even more this upcoming year.
