The girls finished their week strong, defeating Old Forge by a score of 7-0 on Thursday, September 24. This game proved as a baseline for what the girls are capable of on offense and led them into their game against Montrose on a high point. At Montrose they won by a score of 3-1, two goals scored by Libby Brennan and one goal scored by Isabella Maslowska. This was a huge upset for Paupack because Montrose has a very similar record to Paupack and has many similar offensive techniques. The next day, September 30, the girls took on Mountain View and took the win by a score of 4-0. As the girls’ head into the second half of their season, it is important to honor this year’s seniors as well as leaders of the team which are Libby Brennan, Carmella Coyle, Maeve Creamer, Samira Feller, Kady Hanor, and Izzy Voto while the captains this year are seniors, Libby Brennan and Kady Hanor, and junior, Reagan Anderson.
The boys had a tough game at the end of their week as they took on Delaware Valley on their Youth Night. Although this game ended in a tie, 1-1, Delaware Valley scored their goal in the last minutes of the second half off a free kick. This was a physical game for the boys and chaos sparked on the field where even a red card was given. Trying to bounce back from the tough game the boys took on Abington Heights where they took a loss by a score of 3-1. As the boys also begin the second half of their season, is important that the seniors and team leaders are honored. This year’s seniors are Joseph Blaum, Colby Bonagura, Jacob Eckes, Haynes, Josh Katz, Liam Magee, Mason Miller, Salvatore Moccardi, Dawid Mrowka, Daniel Rodriguez-Gaitan, and Orson Whitehouse, while the captains are Joseph Blaum, Colby Bonagura, Josh Katz and Dawid Mrowka.
